Nways Manager Large IP Map Restructure Version 2.0 User's Guide

Prerequisites

The Large IP Map Restructure application runs on the following platform:

• AIX/6000 Version 4.2.1, or 4.3.
• NetView for AIX/6000 Version 4 or 5.
• C Set ++ for AIX/6000 Version 3.1.4 or Version 3.6.6 application runtime libraries, including the IBM class library.

Please also note the following:

• The application can only run on read-write maps. The management environment may have the "default" map permanently opened in read-write mode in a NetView EUI session on the server. This suggests that in this environment the application needs to be installed on the server only.
• The application depends on the information collected by the IP Map application. Therefore, IP Map must not be disabled.
• The application optionally uses the topology information maintained by NSM V1.1 It is very important that this information is kept up to date, or network nodes will be placed incorrectly.
